Welcome 2 the Party (Ode 2 the Old School)
"Welcome 2 the Party (Ode 2 the Old School)" is the first single released by Kid Rock, from his fourth studio album ''Devil Without a Cause'', his highest-selling album. The single was released on July 30, 1998, three weeks before the album's release. "Welcome 2 the Party" failed to find success, and ''Devil Without a Cause'' did not gain significant attention until the release of its second single, "I Am the Bullgod".
On August 18, 1998, Atlantic released Kid Rock's ''Devil Without a Cause'' behind the single "Welcome 2 The Party (Ode 2 the Old School)" and Kid Rock went on the Vans Warped Tour to support the album.
